Rob Taylor was born in Tampa, Florida while his father was serving in the US Air Force. Once his father completed his service, Rob’s family moved to Winston Salem, North Carolina where his extended family’s roots have been for generations. At the age of 10, Rob’s family moved to Southern California.
While attending college at the University of Southern California and California State University at Los Angeles, Rob began working in the Aerospace Defense Industry of Southern California. After working for several large defense contractors, Rob decided to start his own business, successfully spending 20 years as a manufacturer and fabricator of components for the nation’s largest defense contractors.
Rob’s experience as a business owner provided him with insight into the most important values for individuals and businesses alike: honesty, trust, passion, and integrity. In fact, Rob’s passion for helping people led him into the financial services industry after seeing so many family members and friends suffer from the economic downturn of 2001-2002. Rob capitalized on his previous business experience, became licensed in financial services, and quickly became a leader for a large multinational financial services firm.
Now, Rob has teamed up with Global View Capital Advisors and is building a large practice which is based in Winston Salem, North Carolina, serving clients nationwide. Inspired by the motto: Design-Grow-Protect, the office is rapidly adding new team members. Rob holds his Series 65 securities registration as an IAR (investment adviser representative). He is an executive director with Global View Capital Management and is a fee-based fiduciary.
In his free time, Rob loves spending time with his wife, Liz, and their four furry family members in beautiful Winston Salem, North Carolina.
